About this file

Document Summary

This is a Statewide Natural Areas Management Work Order issued by the Indiana Department of Natural Resources (IDNR). The work order serves as a task-specific assignment document under an existing Statewide Natural Areas Management Contract, through which IDNR engages qualified vendors to perform targeted habitat and land management services across the state.

The work order specifies hand work at sensitive sites within Work Zone 1 and requires vendors to complete tasks within the specifications outlined in their signed Statewide Natural Areas Management Contract. Work details must include herbicide type and application rates, application methods, required mortality rates, resulting stump heights, treatment timing, and identification of target and protected vegetation species. Vendors must respond with acceptance or declination within seven days of receipt; declining vendors trigger the opportunity for the next lowest-bid vendor to accept. Costs are calculated on an hourly basis determined by work item and work zone, with the total project cost calculated by multiplying the vendor's hourly rate by the number of authorized hours. All onsite staff must meet experience requirements specified in the underlying contract. If no contracted vendors accept the work order, IDNR reserves the right to procure services from alternative vendors outside the contract framework.
