About this file
This document is a State of California bid specification for Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG), specifically identified as specification 6380-5973 dated January 22, 1968. The specification is an attachment to a state contract and outlines detailed requirements for LPG procurement, governed by California Code of Regulations, specifically Title 13, Division 3, Chapter 5, Article 3, Section 2292.6 and Title 8, Division 1, Chapter 3.2, Subchapter 2, Article 1.
The technical requirements mandate that the LPG must meet all state and federal regulatory standards, maintain quality during storage without deterioration or excessive gum/resin deposits, and be traceable to its original refinery. The contractor is responsible for ensuring transportation cleanliness, providing Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) with each delivery, and complying with all handling documentation requirements. The state retains the right to independently test LPG quality, and if the product fails to meet specifications, the contractor must replace the shipment at no cost and cover all testing expenses. The specification does not detail specific pricing, contract duration, or renewal terms, focusing instead on technical and quality assurance provisions for LPG procurement.
