About this file

This is a Prevailing Wage Terms attachment for a Temporary Traffic Control Services contract solicitation issued by the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (LACMTA/Metro) in California. The solicitation requests quotes for temporary traffic control services and requires submission through email to ortizdelgadoj@metro.net no later than 4:00 P.M. PDT on September 9, 2026. Award selection will be based on best value to Metro, considering price, past performance (with at least two references), and the contractor's ability to meet prevailing wage and insurance requirements outlined in the attachments. A pre-bid date is listed as "tbd" with the bid issue date of August 26, 2026.

The prevailing wage terms are governed by California State Determination LOS 2026-2 for Southern California, Los Angeles County, and Federal Determination CA20260022 Modification 5, with wage rates subject to change based on the contract award date. All contractors must register with the California Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) Contractor Registration Database at time of bid and award, with penalties up to $8,000 for failure to register. Contractors are responsible for obtaining necessary California business licenses and must comply with apprentice requirements for contracts valued over $30,000, maintaining a minimum ratio of 20% apprentice to journeyman hours. Contractors and subcontractors must preserve employment records for three years from project completion, alternative work weeks are prohibited unless approved by DIR and Metro, and prevailing wage monitoring will be conducted through LCPtracker. The state minimum penalty for hiring an unregistered subcontractor is $10,000.
