WALL LOCKER SPECIFICATIONS

The Wall Locker shall contain two doors, a vertical divider, a full width fixed shelf on each side, clothes rod on each side, and a padlock hasp for the top drawer behind the right hand door. The right door will be designed with a weapon rack and lock. The unit will be of a welded construction and will be shipped fully assembled.

The unit will be constructed of a combination of 18 and 20 gauge steel such that the front frame shall be constructed from formations in the sides and top so that a minimum reveal of 1-1/4” is created and a channel to accept the doors. The doors will be inset in the frame. The doors will be of a minimum of 18 gauge double pan steel with all edges flanged. Each door will have two sets of louvers consisting of four slits 4-inches long and 3/16-inch deep and spaced 1 1/8-inch apart. One set will be located 3 7/16-inches from the top of the door and the other set will be located 3 7/16” from the bottom of the door. The louvers will be in both the inside and outside pan of the door. The outer and inner panel will be constructed of steel, with the inner panel telescoping into the outer panel forming a hollow section of ¾” (nominal) thickness. The inside pan will have a welded hat section running vertically between the upper louvers to the lower louvers which will add stiffness and strength to the doors. The outer and inner pan will be powder coat painted inside and out. Paint color will be Total Eclipse (black). The doors will be affixed to the unit with a minimum of 3 hinges 14 gauge minimum, 5 knuckle, welded pin type with 0.157” minimum pin diameter of 2-1/2” long joint steel hinge. The door leaf shall have a minimum of three holes for the attachment of the door and the other half of the leaf will be screwed to the channel sides of the unit. Each door will have a continuous finger. Two magnets will hold each door in the closed position. One door size will be 12 3/8” W x 66 ½”H. The other door will be 19 ¾”W x 46 ½”H and have a recessed steel compartment for housing and locking the firearm. A heavy duty polypropylene surface with foam padding on the top and bottom of the recessed housing will secure firearm in place. The unit overall dimensions shall be 72.00” H x 36.00” W x 24.00” D.

The base of the unit will be a minimum of 18 gauge steel constructed such as to form a nominal 4-inch thick base with the bottom edges forming a channel flange and being spot welded for strength. The back of the unit will be constructed of 20 gauge steel which is flanged on all sides and welded to the top, bottom and sides. The back will have four holes through the back and flanges for anchoring / securing the unit to the wall. The unit will also have a full-length single piece vertical divider. The divider will be minimum 20 gauge flanged and or channeled on all sides. The vertical divider will be spot welded to the top, bottom and back panel.

Drawers will be constructed of minimum 20 gauge steel with the sides and bottom being of one piece and the front and back being resistance welded to the sides and bottom.

Nominal size of each drawer is 8 13/16”H x 19 11/16”W x 18 15/16”D. Drawer front shall be composed of double pan construction minimum 20 gauge. Drawers will be suspended at the sides by a system of two full extension 100lb rated ball bearing slides.

Padlock hasp locking system will be a minimum of 14 gauge and designed to lock the top drawer only.

The clothes hanging J channel shall be constructed of minimum 14 gauge steel with a hem and welded to the shelf on both sides.

All steel parts will be painted with powder coat paint at a minimum of 1.5 mil thickness.

All surfaces to be powder coated shall be treated in accordance with type II of TT-C-490 Federal Specification. All treated surfaces shall be painted with a powder coating and applied and baked in accordance with the coating manufacturer’s recommendations. Paint color will be Total Eclipse (black).
