USDA East Grand Forks, MN USDA EGF Potato Lab Renovation

Bid Schedule

Price for all Bid Items (Base Bid and all Alternates) to be valid for 60 days from the proposal due date

CLIN 0001 BASE BID: Complete renovation of existing space to create a potato processing lab and technician workspace. Shells out two additional spaces for future labs and equipment. Shell out three single occupant restrooms.

• Preconstruction submittals and documents

• Hazardous material remediation for the existing space.

• Selective demolition.

• Noise and dust control to protect the remainder of the facility.

• Remove and replace a roof top air conditioning unit with a new proper sized unit.

• Provide and install ductwork and plumbing to support the new space.

• Provide and install electrical and lighting to support the new space.

• Provide and install new industrial kitchen hood with integral fire suppression and exhaust for potato fryer.

• All architectural, structural, lab casework, plumbing, electrical, low voltage & mechanical work for a fully functional space of Rooms 113, 114, and 117.

• All exterior windows, exterior door, and interior windows, with associated wall modifications.

• Preliminary work, including underfloor utilities, temporary lighting, equipment platform framing, and IT cable tray, as described in the drawings and specifications to install work needed to shell out the analytical lab and equipment room for future build-out.

• Provide door demolition, wall repair, new door, and relocated fire extinguisher for Boiler Room

• Provide and install a new emergency shower and finished gypsum board behind the shower in the future analytical lab.

• Provide and install underfloor utilities, doors, above-ceiling structural platform, and framing for three single occupancy restrooms.

• Provide finished walls of new construction, floor finish, ceilings, and all electrical and mechanical ceiling fixtures and connections in the area labeled “Interstitial Space” east of Grid 3 and new restrooms.

• Provide yellow floor markings in the Potato Processing Area as indicated on Drawing A901-N.

• Provide and install structural support for HVAC unit as shown on drawing S101-N.

• Provide all testing and start-up of new and relocated mechanical and electrical equipment.

• The USDA is the Authority Having Jurisdiction over this project.

• Prepare red-lined construction drawings and specifications, O&M manuals, and warranty items.

Period of Performance: 270 calendar days total; to include 150 calendar day physical on-site construction period.

CLIN 0002: ALTERNATE 1: Complete the fit-out of the analytical lab and equipment room.

• Provide and install new flooring, walls, ductwork, plumbing, electrical, lighting, ceiling, lab cabinetry, fixtures, and other required work to fully complete the analytical lab and equipment rooms.

• Provide and install split system HVAC unit in the equipment room.

• Remove and replace a roof top air conditioning unit with a new proper sized unit.

• Provide and install new lab fume hood and associated ductwork and exhaust fan.

• Provide and install all new finished gypsum board, floor finish, lab casework, piping, counters, power, lighting for a functional lab.

• All architectural, structural, above-floor plumbing, electrical, & mechanical work for a fully functional space.

• Prepare red-lined construction drawings and specifications, O&M manuals, and warranty items.

Period of Performance: 30 additional calendar days

CLIN 0003 ALTERNATE 2: Fully fit out three (3) single occupant restrooms See Dwg A101-N

• Provide and install floor finishes, gypsum board, ceilings, bathroom fixtures, and other work required to create 3 new single occupancy restrooms.

• Provide and install exhaust fans and connect to existing building bathroom exhaust system.

• Prepare red-lined construction drawings and specifications, O&M manuals, and warranty items.

Period of Performance: 15 additional calendar days

CLIN 0004 ALTERNATE 3: Construct base and install USDA provided flag pole (See Dwg C101-N)

• Provide and install concrete foundation, lighting, and associated landscape restoration for a new flagpole.

• Install a USDA provided flag pole.

• Prepare red-lined construction drawings and specifications, O&M manuals, and warranty items.

Period of Performance: 0 additional calendar days -- work to be done concurrently with base bid work
