About this file

This is a Request for Proposal specification document issued by the State of Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) for the inspection and rebuild of an Under Bridge Inspection Unit mounted on a Peterbilt chassis, specifically MDOT Truck 04-1708, under RFP No. 230000002220 and Specification # C10-0070UBR.23. The project encompasses a comprehensive 12-year inspection and rebuild of the specialized vehicle, requiring bidders to confirm their ability to complete each specified requirement or provide detailed alternate solutions. The scope of work includes extensive structural, mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical restoration across multiple components including axle locks (front and rear), turntables, four boom sections, platform systems, control systems, and hydraulic pumps, along with required non-destructive testing, sandblasting, repainting, and stability testing to current ANSI A92.8 standards.

Bidders are required to complete a detailed response table indicating "Yes" for each included specification or providing comprehensive substitute information if manufacturer specifications are unavailable. The project demands adherence to strict manufacturing standards and includes requirements for final testing of all AC and DC electrical systems, operational testing of all components, protective finishing including new caution and warning decals, and return of all removed components to the State of Michigan. Pricing terms, award dates, contract duration, and other financial details are not specified in this attachment and would appear in accompanying RFP documentation.
