About this file
This Statement of Work (SOW) details a fire detection system upgrade project for the James River Reserve Fleet (JRRF) at Fort Eustis, Virginia. The project requires a contractor to remove existing fire system components in Buildings 2606 and 2612 and replace them with new upgraded components within 45 days of contract award. Key requirements include replacing wiring, coordinating with Fort Eustis Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ), installing a new fire system, testing the system, and cleaning up job-related debris. The contractor must provide all necessary equipment, materials, and labor, and ensure the new system is fully operational.
Safety and security are emphasized, with contractor employees required to be vetted by Joint Base Langley Eustis Security Forces Visitor Center at least two days prior to work commencement. The contract includes standard commercial warranty provisions covering parts, materials, and labor. Additionally, the government requires the use of energy-efficient, water-efficient, and environmentally preferable products consistent with Federal Acquisition Regulations, with specific focus on sustainable acquisition requirements for products delivered or used in performing services at the federally-controlled facility.
