About this file

This is a Salient Characteristics document for a Military Working Dog Trailer procurement under Air Force Global Strike Command solicitation FA466126P0052, issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ) for a Firm-Fixed Price contract. The requirement is for one (1) 10-stall tandem axle stainless steel trailer designed to safely house and maintain military working dogs in compliance with 9 CFR Part 3 standards.

The trailer must include the following specifications: ten large stalls measuring 29" x 40" x 36" each with welded inner bar doors featuring latching/locking mechanisms; climate control maintaining ambient temperatures between 45-85 degrees with a primary ducted air conditioning unit per stall (recessed) and a secondary air conditioner for the trailer; a hot dog pager system to alert staff of temperature excursions; drainage holes in each stall floor to accommodate water, urine, and cleaning solutions; proper ventilation through auxiliary fans, blowers, or air conditioning to minimize odors, ammonia levels, and moisture; and adequate lighting with a regular diurnal cycle to permit cleaning, inspection, and animal observation. The trailer must have no sharp points or edges, be placarded on all four sides with black or red lettering reading "Caution: Military Working Dog," and have all interior contact surfaces designed to enable regular cleaning and sanitization while protecting animals' feet and legs from injury. Offerors must submit a complete technical specifications document demonstrating compliance with every salient characteristic, including product brochures, engineering drawings showing the stall layout and drainage systems, and written certification of CFR compliance. The all-inclusive firm-fixed price must cover all costs with no separate charges for freight, delivery, or other surcharges.
