About this file
This document is an attachment related to a federal contract opportunity for the Elevated Burn Simulator System (EBSS) Service at the Tobyhanna Army Depot in Tobyhanna, PA. The attachment outlines the system verification and controls calibration requirements, which consist of verifying the sequence of operation for the AN/TPQ-36, AN/TPQ-37 RMI, and Sentinel systems, as well as performing temperature and pressure offset adjustments. The contractor must submit a report in a government-approved format detailing the activities performed. Additionally, the contractor may be requested to confirm operation, adjust, and document the settings for the automated RF warning beacon system. The key requirements are outlined in the Performance Work Statement (PWS) referenced in the related federal contract opportunity. The opportunity is a pre-solicitation for preventative maintenance, unscheduled, and emergency repair services for the EBSS system.

System Calibration and Controls Calibration Schedule-Annually
1.0 System Verification & Controls Calibration consists of two major efforts; Verification of the sequences of operation and pressure/temperature offset adjustments. For these activities the Government will make available and will connect the following assets:
1.1 AN/TPQ-36
1.2 AN/TPQ-37 RMI (37 Legacy is excluded)
1.3 Sentinel
2.0 Contractor shall verify sequence of operation of entire system. Sequences must be verified through elevated burn operation requiring connection to TYAD assets. Several weeks advance scheduling of this effort will be required. Government will make all attempts to ensure assets are available and hooked up for this annual PM.
2.1 Temperature/Pressure Off-Set Adjustments: The contractor shall exercise entire system in accordance with written Sequence of Operations to verify the system operation and accuracy of the controls instruments in relation to the environment they are sensing. The “off-set Adjustment” (temperature measurement between location of sensor in supply ductwork to actual discharge temperature at the fitting) is to account for deviations between the environment where the sensors are measuring and the desired recordable location (ie. at cold room temperatures the heat loss through the flexible ductwork is greater and therefore set point adjusted to compensate).
2.2 Submit report in Government approved format. Provide sample format for government acceptance prior to commencing work.
2.3 Automated RF Warning Beacon System: ONLY upon specific request, confirm operation, adjust and document current sensing relay settings (amp draw) for each during operation of all systems. Submit signed report. Document idle power (RF beacons not enabled) and Radiating power (RF beacons enabled):
3.0 DOCUMENTATION: See Performance Work Statement (PWS) for documentation and reporting requirements.
