About this file

This is a Nondiscrimination Provision document establishing Title VI compliance requirements for construction contractors and consultants working on federally-funded projects in Stafford County, Virginia, specifically for RFP 26067 - Transportation Engineering Services. The provision requires all contractors and consultants to comply with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which prohibits discrimination based on race, color, or national origin in connection with programs and activities receiving Federal financial assistance. The document incorporates by reference the applicable Code of Federal Regulations sections (49 CFR Parts 21, 23, 26, and 27 and 23 CFR Parts 200, 230, and 633) into all contracts and subcontracts funded wholly or in part with federal funds.

This nondiscrimination assurance clause applies to on-call term contracts for transportation engineering and design services for VDOT LAP (Virginia Department of Transportation Local Assistance Program) projects. All contractors and subcontractors must acknowledge and agree to these civil rights compliance requirements as a condition of contract award. The provision ensures that federal funding requirements are met and that all contracted services are delivered without discrimination to any protected class.
