About this file
This Amendment #2 document is issued by the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources in response to vendor questions regarding the Invitation for Bid (IFB) for Galvanized After Weld (GAW) wire mesh, solicitation number 5400030153. The procurement seeks 100 rolls of 1" x 1" 14-gauge GAW wire mesh, each measuring 100 feet long by 48 inches wide and manufactured in the USA. Bids are due October 2, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. EST, with questions from offerors due by September 18, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. EST. No pre-bid conference or site visit has been scheduled. Award notification will be posted on October 2, 2026. All 100 rolls must be delivered in a single shipment to the SC Department of Natural Resources at 217 Fort Johnson Road, Charleston, SC 29412 within 90 days of purchase order receipt. Bidders must maintain a current South Carolina vendor registration and acknowledge all amendments, and offers must remain open for a minimum of 90 calendar days after the opening date.
The amendment clarifies five vendor questions, including confirmation that Galvanized Before Weld (GBW) wire mesh is acceptable as an alternative to GAW wire mesh, and that the one-year unlimited hours parts and labor warranty requirement referenced on page 28 does not apply to this wire mesh solicitation. Pricing must be submitted as a fixed unit price per roll with a separate line-item delivery cost, with all shipping costs included in the bid. Award will be made to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder. Bids may be submitted online through the SCEIS portal, by FedEx, UPS, or USPS to the mailing address at SC Department of Natural Resources, Attn: Procurement Services, 260D Epting Lane, West Columbia, SC 29172, or by in-person drop-off; facsimile and email submissions are not accepted. South Carolina and US end-product preferences and resident vendor preferences apply as required by law. Payment is made net 30 days following the State's receipt of a properly submitted invoice containing the authorized purchase order number.
