About this file
This is Amendment #1 to an Invitation for Bid issued by the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources (SCDNR) for an Unmanned Aircraft System Package. The sealed bids are due by February 19, 2025, at 10:00 am EST, with questions due by January 30, 2025, at 12:00 noon EST. The award will be posted on February 19, 2025. One hard copy of the bid must be delivered or mailed to SCDNR's Columbia office, or submitted online through the SCEIS portal system. No pre-bid conference is scheduled for this solicitation.
The amendment addresses a clarification question regarding the type of drone system required. SCDNR specifically requires a fixed-wing drone design and will not accept alternative UAS solutions. This requirement is based on the Land Water Division's needs for aircraft capable of flying faster, covering longer distances, operating for extended periods, and performing photogrammetry over larger areas per flight compared to multi-rotor drones.

Questions and Answers:
1. The scope asks for fixed-wing aircrafts. Can you please confirm if the State will accept alternative UAS solutions outside of the “Fixed Wing” design?
Answer: No, SCDNR has specified a fixed wing drone which meets the criteria of the Land Water Division needs---- they have the capability to fly faster, for longer distances, and longer time, and thus do photogrammetry on more acres/flight than armed drones with multiple rotors.
All other terms and conditions remain unchanged
