About this file

This document is an Amendment to ODOT (Ohio Department of Transportation) Contract 531-22 between the State of Ohio, Department of Transportation and DBT Transportation Services LLC. The amendment extends the existing contract's expiration date from June 30, 2024 to June 30, 2025, maintaining all original contract rates and compensations.

The contract concerns Road Weather Information System (RWIS) services, specifically involving environmental sensor stations (ESS) in the WeatherSentry network. DBT Transportation Services is responsible for calibrating, maintaining, and repairing ESS sites, including onsite diagnostics, troubleshooting, and equipment upgrades. The vendor must provide weekly reports on maintenance activities, equipment inventory, and site conditions. The contract is performance-based, with payment calculated per site monthly, and includes provisions for monitoring various sensors (visibility, precipitation, air temperature, humidity, wind) and managing equipment outages. The amendment also specifies requirements for technician staffing, with at least one full-time technician per 50 sites, and outlines penalties for extended equipment outages.

The vendor shall maintain an accurate record of stored parts, shall provide ODOT with a weekly inventory report and shall notify ODOT when a re-supply of parts is needed, taking into consideration each manufacturer’s delivery schedule.
