Questions and Answers Document
Version 1: 4/16/2015
Subsequent versions of this document will contain questions from all previous versions.
Q1: Is the Contractor to provide #2 AWG 4-Conductor Type SOOW Cord (40 foot length) for the backup generator?
A1: Yes.
Q2: Are the KILLARK VP1033 PLUG and KILLARK VPR1033 CONNECTOR shown on the Single Line Diagram (Sheet E6.0) present with the existing back-up generator?
These part numbers are for a 100 Amp 3-Wire (conductor) 3-Pole Connector and Plug.
A2. Per Single Line Diagram on page E6.0, the existing connector and plug type are identified and the type of cord required is specified. If a new plug does not come attached to the new cord, the old plug may be used if appropriate. If the new cord and old plug are not compatible, the
Contractor will need to purchase a new plug. If a plug is purchased, it is the Contractor’s responsibility to ensure that the new plug is compatible with the existing connector.
