NOTES:

1. Proposals are due Feb 3 @ 1000 MT via email to Toni Aranda.

1. Mobilization item only applies once covering mileage from base of operations to the job site, it does not include mileage returning to base of operations.

1. Survey and Staking will be negotiated per task order due to varied complexity.

1. Bidders should leave all “negotiated” items blank.

1. New Wage Determinations will be posted on FBO

1. Send questions in writing via e-mail to Toinette Aranda and Don Lira by 4:00pm on Jan 18th.

1. Anticipated award date – April 1st

Questions & Answers

1. Q: Did we do away with 15 yard dump trucks?

A: If items are necessary and not included they can be negotiated. There is no mobilization item for 15 yard trucks.

1. FP-14 = Standard Specifications for Construction of Roads and Bridges on Federal Highway Projects (2014 Edition)

1. Note 18 change Class 4 to Classes 2, 3, & 6

1. Mobilization will not be paid separately for trucks hauling material to a site. Haul truck mobilization is incidental to material placement items.

1. Assume “dry” conditions for culvert installations (no running water through the pipe). No de-watering included in item, if necessary dewatering can be negotiated.

A: It varies greatly.

1. Q: What is the lead time on task orders?

A: Follow contracting and bonding timelines

1. Q: Is there a minimum mileage quantity for road maintenance items?

A: No

Submitted Questions & Answers:

1. How and when will the bid packets be sent to us? All documents will be posted to FedBizOpps.Gov

2. In Solicitation packet it states we need a Bonding Letter with a Maximum Task Order of $250,000 or your bid wouldn't be looked at. But the guys said it was brought up at meeting and they said $150,000. Need clarification on this amount. If we get the bid at that time we have 15 days to produce actual payment bond for 100% of our bid amount, is this correct. A Bonding Letter must be submitted with proposal bonding capability up to $150,000. Bonding is only required on task orders over 30K and must be submitted within 10 day of award.

3. Item 157(02) - Soil Erosion Control – The estimated Quantity is 1000ft. What type of BMP are we supposed to quote (i.e. Silt Fence, Blanket, Waddle)? Assume silt fence

4. Item 301(01)A – The bid sheet indicates the use of compaction method “B”, but the Amended solicitation indicates placement only. We would like to get clarification on this? Contractor must place and compact Government furnished aggregate.

5. Item 625(01) – Seeding Dry Method – Per the pre-bid meeting, this was to be left blank. How are we to bid the other item numbers with the estimated quantities listed as “Per Task Order if applicable”? All line items that state “Per task order if applicable are to be left blank, provide no pricing.
