PINE ADMINISTRATIVE SOLICITATION

REVISIONS

REV-005

Include attached Sheet C526 dated April 21, for an update on OPTIONAL ITEM 01 “ON-SITE DISPOSAL SYSTEM” This item will be incorporated into the “Issued for Construction Set.”

REV-006

Revise Site Details for Signs: Remove Sheet A104 and replace with attached revised sheet A104 dated April 21. This item will be incorporated into the “Issued for Construction Set.”

REV-007

Revise floor plan for FWS office. Remove sheet A205 and replace with attached revised sheet A205 dated April 21. This item will be incorporated into the “Issued for Construction Set.”

Pre-Bid Inquiries (PBI’s) for Contract Bidding

Are we still able to use Building #2012 as our construction temporary field office? We understand this deductive alternate has been deleted from specification 012300, but it appears the building will still be available per specification 015000 part 1.7.F .

PBI-012

Clarification: No, building #2012 is not available as a temporary Field Office. This option has been eliminated.

Requests for Information (RFI’s) for Plans and Specifications

RFI -088, Clarification: Aluminum or steel frames may be considered as a substitution or alternate method with the approval of the Architect and Contracting Officer.

RFI-103

RFI-104

1: Shade A3 (as described on sheet A802) calls for a “Roller Shade with 1% openness factor and blackout lining.” Is the architect looking for a “Dual Shade or Double Shade” with the Glacier Screen fabric room side and a blackout fabric glass side with two separate rollers? Or, is the reference to “Blackout lining” a typo? Or is there something else he is looking for?

Architect Response (Document Modification Required) – Update specification 099999 – PRODUCT AND FINISH SCHEDULE, Division 12 – Furnishings, Section 122413 – Roller Window Shades as follows:

Replace Fabric: Glacier Screen HD2001, White/Linen, Openness Factor 1% -with -

ShearWeave 7000, Sand, Openness Factor Opaque (0%)

Replace Openness Factor: 1% with Blackout Lining, See Finish Schedule – with – 0% Opaque with Acrylic Foamed Backing (PVC free), See Finish Schedule

Update sheet A802 – FINISH & EQUIPMENT SCHEDULE, Window Treatment Types as follows:

Type A3: Roller Shade with 0% openness factor and blackout lining.

These items will be incorporated into the “Issued for Construction Set.”

2: Room 141 calls for two different shades along the North window wall – Types A1 and A2.

Which is the correct shade type?

Architect Response (Document Modification Required) – Update Finish Schedule Window Treatments as follows:

119 – Small Conf – B, A2

133 – LEO 2 – B

134 – LEO 3 – B

141 – Open Office – A2 147 – Open Office – A2 These items will be incorporated into the “Issued for Construction Set.”

3. Room 119 – Does the architect want a shade on the exterior window here?

Architect Response (Clarification) – Yes, see response to question above.

4. Shade Type B – Hunter Douglas Duette Architella honeycomb shade in Opaque D16-953 fabric is NOT FR. This shade does not pass NFPA 701 Flam Resistance Ratings. Hunter Douglas does offer a Duette FR Shade in fabrics D16-949 White Iris, and D16-953 Linen, opaque ¾” pleat. Please visit: http://www.hunterdouglas.com for updated information.

Architect Response (Document Modification Required) - Update specification 099999 – PRODUCT AND FINISH SCHEDULE, Division 12 – Furnishings, Section 122416 – Pleated Window Shades as follows:

Replace Style: Duette Architella honecomb shades – with – Duette FR honeycomb shades

RFI-105

Specification section 084523 Part 2 – Products; subsection 2.7 A “ALUMINUM FINISHES” – indicates that the aluminum finish is to be a Class 1 Clear Anodic Finish. These three (3) pyramids are manufactures as a one piece assembly with welded corners and a welded peak.

An anodized finish is not available due to the size and configuration of the frame. Please confirm that a standard corrosion resistant finish that complies with AAMA 2604 is accemptable in lieu of anodizing. There are twelve (12) standard colors that can be selected from for the frame finish – including a Gray #80 which resembles a clear anodized finish.

Architect Response (Document Modification Required) – Update specification section 084523 Part 2 - Products; subsection 2.7 A “ALUMINUM FINISHES” to read “Corrosion Resistant Finish: AAMA 2608 – Contracting Officer to select color from fill range of standard frame finishes. This item will be incorporated into the “Issued for Construction Set.”

RFI-106

The door schedule on sheet A801 lists door numbers 101A, 101B, 102, 105, and 106 to have wood frames. The associated details show hollow metal frames. Please clarify which is correct.

Jamb – 15/A710 Head – 14/A710 These items will be incorporated into the “Issued for Construction Set.”

RFI-107

The door schedule on sheet A801 door numbers 111A and 120A, calls for the door and frames to be made from hollow metal. The details listed on these doors call for wood frames with wood doors. Please clarify which is correct.

(FS#31):

Architect Response (Document Modification Required) – Update Door Schedule for door 111A frame material to be ‘MTL’ and frame finish to be ‘PF.’ Door 120A is correctly listed and detailed as a hollow metal door and frame.
