About this file

This is an addendum document issued by the Kentucky Parks Department for RFB-44-27 Parks JW Conference Center Upgrades. The addendum clarifies and modifies specifications related to the conference center renovation project. Key modifications include adjustments to material specifications, clarifications on installation requirements, and updates to technical standards for HVAC systems, electrical components, and architectural finishes. The document specifies that all bidders must acknowledge receipt of this addendum with their bid submissions, and failure to do so may result in bid rejection. Site visit opportunities and pre-bid meetings previously scheduled remain in effect, and bidders are required to familiarize themselves with all project conditions and requirements outlined in both the original solicitation and this addendum.

The addendum does not introduce new pricing structures or set-asides but rather ensures that all cost proposals account for the revised specifications and requirements outlined herein. All bidders are held to the same standards and modifications regardless of incumbent status. The funding source and budget parameters established in the original RFB-44-27 solicitation remain unchanged. This addendum is a critical document that supersedes conflicting language in the base bid documents and must be incorporated into all bid preparation and submission processes.

ADDENDUM NO. 1 ADD 01 - 4

13 It looks like the EC will be providing Legrand AT10 10” poke-thru for the floor box in rooms 106,107 and 108. I don’t think the 2-gang wall plate encoder will fit in this floor box.

POWER AND AV THAT WOULD BE IN THE

FLOOR BOXES IS MOVED TO THE WALL

BEHIND THE LECTERN LOCATION

INDICATED ON DRAWING AV-301,

MATCHING ELEVATION / MOUNTING

HEIGHTS INDICATED ON AV-401 DETAIL

(REFERENCE ELECTRICAL SHEET E2.2)

Where all flush in floor boxea are indicaiet by sheet note #1 the floor boxes will be eliminated from the scope and the power and AV devices wil be moved to the wall behind the lecturn.

Instead, provide a traditional wall plate mounting for a wall-mounted DM-NVX encoder plate going into the wall at the front of each room, as well as near the audio plate behind each lectern. Provide two (2) 1" conduits for data to the accessible ceiling space as directed by the A/V vendor Provide a quadruplex receptacle with a dedicated branch circuit from the existing power panel currently serving the room. Provide conduit and wire from a spare 1-pole, 20-amp breaker in the panel, made available from the existing lighting demolition.

Refer to the A/V vendor's specifications and elevation for additional requirements.

14 There are several devices that share the same designation. For example, the WP-02 on sheet AV-401is a lighting/shades controller and on sheet AV-602 it’s a Mic/Line plate. So, when looking at the floor plan AV-301, the elevation AV-401/AV-402 and single line drawing AV-601/AV-602 it’s difficult to tell what’s supposed to be at each location. Following is our interpretation of what is supposed to be in each room, please confirm that this is correct.

16 Since the QSYS Core 24f already has a control processor built into the product, would it be acceptable to use that instead of the Crestron CP4 Controller and also change the touch panels in the room to the equivalent model from QSC, model TSC-70- G3.

A: Preferred separate processor, Crestron control is utilized as well at another Parks facility.

17 To confirm, you would like to upgrade the Core 24f to include a total of 32x32 Dante channels? Our assessment is that these are not required since we typically use network audio channels and there are 256x256 available on this processor.

A: Dante channel expansion is not required unless KY Parks team seeks to expand on the system connection capabilities in the near future.

18 Is it acceptable to change the Crestron motion sensor part CEN-ODT-C-POE to a comparable part from Atlona model AT-

OCS-900N?

A: Preferred Crestron, as it will be used within another Parks facility already.

ADDENDUM NO. 1 ADD 01 - 6

19 The QSC CX-Q 2K4 amplifier is end of life, the newer model is the MPA-Q 4x500. Is that an acceptable substitution.

A: MPA-Q 4x500 is the current acceptable replacement for the CX-Q 2K4, this substitution is approved.

20 The Shure wireless received for the MXW next wireless system is MXWAPX4, is it acceptable to substitute this model instead of the MXWAPT4?

The MXWAPX4 is acceptable substitute.

21 The Shure charging station for the MXW next wireless system is MXWNDX4, is it acceptable to substitute this model instead of the MXWNCX4?

The MXWNDX4 is acceptable substitute.

22 Do you have the model of the lighting controller which will be integrated by others but connected to this control system?

A: Confirm with Lighting Designer, Basis of Design product was NIO-X with RS-232 interface. The lighting controls are specified with "nLight" controls, which are compatible with the NIO-X with RS- 232 interface. All lighting controls in the space will need to integrate with the AV control system via an RS-232 interface.

Electric Contractor to provide the required cabling between the NIO-X and the rack.

23 Do you have the model of the shade / drape controller which will be integrated by others but connected to this control system?

A: Confirm with Window/Treatment Designer, Basis of Design product was with Draper IntelliFlex® I/O A\V Gateway-

AVG

24 We can’t tell from the drawing if these are divisible walls and did not see any programming requests for divide combine functionality, is this required?

A: Main spaces are divisible rooms.

They are 3-way divisible rooms that require divide/combine functionality.

25 Is the intent for the room configuration to be selected manually through the touch panels, or should the system automatically detect the position of the partitions?

A: The room combine and divide functionally will be manually selected by way of the touch panel due to issues with the existing partition walls at times.

26 AV-401 elevation shows projection screen at 184" Diagonal but the Myriad DL100268L is 202" diagonal, which screen PN is to be used?

A: Screen(s) are Dalite Model: DL10026IL with a 202-inch diagonal surface.
