QUESTIONS RECEIVED SUNY Schenectady Response

1. The scope calls for a masonry base with brickwork; is there any way we can propose an alternative to this foundation plan? e.g. Faux Brick with Aluminum Frame as base.

No, the masonry base with brickwork are already in place and completed.

Proposed signed are to be placed on these monuments.

2. If the above request is approved, we have then to demolish the existing base @ Washington Avenue.

No. According to the RFB, the signs are to be mounted on the existing bases.

Contractor must provide any custom work that may be required to accomplish this.

3. Are we allowed to propose our Design: Will that be approved if we try to innovate the current Design Concept?

The design concept of the digital signage is intended to provide the vision of what the college is looking to achieve, but the final design concept will be developed in concert with the awarded bidder. The College will rely on their expertise in the industry to guide the final product to be mounted on our stationary bases.

4. Please advise if the site visit is mandatory and also for out state bidders?
