Addendum #1 to Sherman Pines Subdivision Roadway & Drainage Repair Invitation to Bid

This addendum document pertains to the Town of Queensbury, New York's invitation to bid for roadway and drainage improvements within the Sherman Pines Subdivision. The project encompasses asphalt pavement overlay and shim course placement (1.5 inches of 9.5 MM top course with leveling course ranging 0.5 to 3.5 inches) on three residential lanes (Autumn Lane, Fawn Lane, and Peachtree Lane); removal and replacement of deteriorated storm drain pipe connections with new 12-inch and 15-inch HDPE storm drain pipe (approximately 1,032 linear feet across 19 segments); refurbishment and adjustment of existing drywells with new grade adjustment rings and frame/grate replacement; pavement and driveway tie-ins; temporary traffic control; erosion and sediment control; and restoration of disturbed areas including mailboxes, signs, utilities, hydrants, and vegetation. Sealed bids are due August 11, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at the Town Purchasing Agent office (742 Bay Road, Queensbury, New York 12804). Written questions must be submitted by August 4, 2026, with responses provided via addenda to registered plan holders. Bidders are required to visit the site to familiarize themselves with conditions; no pre-bid conference will be held. Substantial completion is required by November 30, 2026, with final restoration and project readiness for final payment by December 31, 2026.

The work is awarded as a single prime contract on a unit price basis with subcontracting permitted up to 50% of the total contract amount. Bid security of 5% of the bid amount must accompany submissions. The successful bidder must furnish performance and payment bonds each equal to 100% of the contract price, a Non-Collusive Affidavit, a Certification of Compliance with the Iran Divestment Act, and comprehensive insurance including $1,000,000 General Liability, $1,000,000 Automobile Liability, and $2,000,000 Excess Liability coverage. All contractors and subcontractors must comply with New York State prevailing wage requirements under Labor Law Article 8 and register with the New York State Department of Labor under Labor Law Section 220-i before bidding or performing work. The Town strongly encourages Minority and Women-owned Business Enterprises and Section 3 Firms to bid; no formal set-aside or preference program is established. No incumbent has been awarded an identical or substantially similar contract within the past five years.
