About this file

This is Addendum 1 to a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) issued by the Colorado Department of Human Services (CDHS) for the Enhanced Protective Placement Unit project at the Colorado Mental Health Institute at Pueblo (CMHHIP), RFQ 2027000004. The addendum addresses three key clarifications regarding the project scope: confirmation that hazardous materials testing and associated remediation costs will be performed outside the project scope, clarification that Cottage 137 is currently licensed as a hospital under I-2 occupancy classification and will be converted by CDHS to an Interim Care Facility (ICF) designation, and identification of the expected timeline and any design or construction constraints resulting from this licensing change.

The addendum requests that CDHS provide existing documentation for Cottage 137 to bidders, including architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, structural, and site plan drawings in PDF, AutoCAD, or other electronic formats. This clarification indicates that bidders need access to comprehensive existing facility documentation to develop accurate proposals and cost estimates for the protective placement unit conversion project.

Addendum 1 RFQ Enhanced Protective Placement Unit, CMHHIP

RFQ 2027000004

1. Please confirm that hazardous materials testing will be performed and that the cost/coordination of any testing or remediations will be outside the scope of this project.

2. We understand that Cottage 137 is currently licensed as a hospital (I-2 occupancy), and that this license will be changed by CDHS to become an Interim Care Facility (ICF). Please confirm. What is the expected timeline for this effort, and are there anticipated constraints on either design or construction due to this licensing change?

3. What existing documents are available for the Cottage 137? We are hoping for drawings in PDF form, Autocad or other electronic form, and all disciplines including architecture, site, MEP, structural. Can these be provided to bidders?
