About this file

This document is an Addendum (#01) to Bid Invitation 160-25 issued by the State of New Hampshire's Division of Procurement and Support Services, Bureau of Purchase and Property. The addendum concerns a solicitation for a modular bridge, specifically seeking a portable, non-hinged hybrid bridge system consisting of two 8'x40' modular steel sections with pre-installed white oak decking. The bridge must be designed for HS25 loading, capable of field relocation using standard equipment, and include features such as bolted center panels, pipe guardrails, tapered beam ends, and a certified stamped design. The bid closing date is set for May 1, 2025, at 10:00 AM, with the bridge intended for use in logging and other heavy equipment applications.

The addendum includes responses to vendor questions, indicating flexibility in material selection (the state is open to alternate products meeting minimum requirements) and confirming the bridge's intended use for heavy-duty applications. No drawings or specifications are currently available, and vendors are encouraged to submit proposals that meet the outlined technical specifications. The purchasing agent is Jonah Rosa, and interested parties can find complete bid details and addendums on the state's procurement website. The document emphasizes that all changes noted in the addendum will supersede previously submitted documents, and vendors must submit updated materials with their bid.

ADDENDUM # 01 TO BID INVITATION 160-25

DATE AND TIME OF BID CLOSING: 5/1/2025 10:00 AM

FOR: Modular Bridge

Question 1: The scope calls for a portable, non-hinged hybrid bridge system consisting of two 8'x40' modular steel sections with pre-installed white oak decking, designed for HS25 loading and field relocation using standard equipment. The also bridge should include bolted center panels, pipe guardrails, tapered beam ends, and a certified stamped design, with features optimized for repeated deployment and low-maintenance deck replacement. We specialize in Aluminum designs for all forms of access, including ADA and IBC designs. Would you be interested in receiving a proposal for an aluminum option as well?

State Response: This bid is not specific to make or model. Please provide your bid for alternate products so long as it meets the minimum requirements in paragraph 24 of the bid document.

Question 2: Would you happen to have drawings and specs available?

State Response: There are not drawings available at this time.

Question 3: After further review of the SOW, it looks like the bridge is spec’d for truck weight rating. Are you able to confirm this is the application the bridge will be used for?

State Response: This is a portable bridge that will be used for logging and other heavy equipment.
