About this file

This is an Addendum No. 1 to the Contract Documents for the 2026 Beacon Accessible Curb Ramps project issued by the City of Beacon, Dutchess County, New York on July 14, 2026. The addendum modifies the original contract documents and technical specifications for a project involving the removal and disposal of existing sidewalks, installation of thirty-one ADA-compliant accessible curb ramps at eleven intersections throughout the City of Beacon, and replacement of sidewalks. The work scope includes removal of existing curbs and sidewalks, pavement removal, grading for new walks and ramps, forming for ADA-compliant ramps and curbing, installation of new curbs, sidewalks, and ramps, pavement restoration, and lawn area restoration. The addendum specifically revises Line-Item No. 11 to reflect a 6-inch binder course thickness as indicated in the construction details, replacing the original Page C-5 in its entirety. The revised bid form includes estimated quantities for concrete curb installation (40 linear feet), concrete curb behind sidewalk installation (85 linear feet), 6-inch binder course installation (110 square yards), 1-inch top course installation (15 square yards), 3-inch top course installation (16 square yards), and replacement of existing catch basin curb backs (8 each).

The addendum requires all bidders to mark the date of receipt on Page C-1 of the Bid Form and to account for the modifications in their initial bids. The modifications are not to be used as a basis for later claims for extra compensation. The consulting engineer for the project is Lanc & Tully Engineering and Surveying, P.C., located in Goshen, New York. Based on historical procurement records, business enterprises previously awarded identical or substantially similar contracts include Scape-Tech Landscape Technology, Sun Up Construction, and Con-Tech Construction Technology.
