About this file

This is Addendum 1 to Invitation for Bid (IFB) #407-22 issued by Dawson County, Georgia for Cisco Parts for the Dawson County Information Technology Office. The addendum was issued on July 6, 2022, by Purchasing Manager Melissa Hawk, with a bid closing date of July 11, 2022, at 10:30 AM EST. The original IFB was issued on June 22, 2022. The awarded contractor will provide Cisco parts and services as specified on the Bidder's Price Proposal form, with the IT Department responsible for all other installations. The County requires that the awarded contractor be a Cisco partner to ensure services are provided by Cisco trained and certified individuals. SmartNet maintenance will not be included in this contract.

The addendum clarifies that all original dates, specifications, terms, and conditions from the original IFB remain unchanged. A significant provision addresses signature requirements: due to the expiration of Georgia's Executive Order on April 15, 2022, all bid documents must be originally signed and hard-copy mailed to Dawson County by the bid closing date to be considered a viable response. Electronic signatures and notary waivers previously permitted under the Governor's Executive Order are no longer available. The addendum includes questions and answers addressing vendor concerns regarding the scope of work, partner requirements, and documentation procedures.

QUESTION: Do we as a vendor have to be a Cisco partner

ANSWER: The County does require that the awarded Contractor is a partner of Cisco to ensure that the services required are provided by a Cisco trained and certified individual.
