About this file
This document is a specification for a water control gate to be installed at the DNR Anderson Lake Pump Repair project located in Fulton County, Illinois. The base bid scope of work includes the removal of the existing water control gate, salvaging it for site use, and installing a new self-contained circular water control gate with a Type 304 stainless steel stem. The gate shall be designed to withstand a maximum seating head of 20 feet and maximum unseating head of 10 feet. The frame, cover, and hardware shall be constructed of cast iron, galvanized steel, and bronze components.
The specification provides detailed technical requirements for the water control gate components, including the frame, cover, guide rails, wedges, stem, and lift mechanism. It also includes execution requirements for connecting the gate to a steel pipe. This water control gate is a component of the larger DNR Anderson Lake Pump Repair project, which involves the removal, rehabilitation, and reinstallation of a 42" pump.
