About this file
This document is an Amendment (0002) to Solicitation 75H71025Q00159 for a Duress Equipment Security System for the Northern Navajo Medical Center. The amendment provides detailed clarifications and additional information about the project requirements, including a site visit scheduled for May 20, 2025, at 10:00 am MDT in Shiprock, New Mexico. Key project specifications include implementing a wireless button technology security system for staff and infants, covering 186,000 square feet with 6 elevator cars and 6 elevator lobbies, requiring new servers and potential hardware installations on each floor.
The solicitation involves deploying a comprehensive security system with wireless tracking capabilities, compatible with existing CCTV and card reading systems. The project scope includes training 20 staff members, with 10 administrators managing system tasks like badge and battery replacements. The implementation is expected to take 4-6 months, involving coordination with clinical staff and potential patient room modifications. The solicitation response date has been extended to May 27, 2025, at 12:00 pm MDT, with a preference for Wireless Button Technology and Frontier/Version Wi-Fi compatibility.

Amendment #2.
Questions posed 5.2.2025
1. Is there an overhead paging system in place currently? (Overhead paging is generally used in a duress situation to notify security of an incident). Yes, there is.
2. Is there a preference of applications that are used or preferred for the Duress system? Wireless Button Technology for Staff and infants.
3. Will new servers be needed to support the infrastructure of the Duress systems? Yes
4. There generally needs to be a hardware equipment installation on each floor about every 5 to 8 feet or so, star kits, virtual walls etc. that coincides with the bracelets and badges to enable location services, are there heap tent requirements within offices, patient areas, and common areas for installation of these devices?
Yes, there are ICRA/PCRA requirements if you go into the ceiling or fire walls.
5. The contractor shall provide a fully operational stress security buttons system compatible with existing information technology system with the all-installed software required to run the program. (What is currently in place)? A CCTV system that monitors the Hospital
6. How many staff members will need to be trained? 20 total
7. How many admins will own tasks? (Such as notifications when batteries and badge replacements are needed for reorder?) 10 Safety, EM and Security guards
8. A project of this size, across multiple hospital floors will generally require a minimum of 4 to 6 months to plan, schedule, install, implement, train prior to going live. Has the requirements and costs been adjusted to accommodate a minimum 4-to-6-month timeline? Also, keep in mind, patients may need to be moved if any hardware, location device needs to be installed in patient rooms. That task takes time to coordinate with nursing and clinical leaders on each floor. Understood, a site survey is required and we will have to work with the clinical staff on each area before work begins.
9. Existing IP/Physical Security System Upgrade? (Is there an existing system, or is this an upgrade?) We have a CCTV system and a card reading system already installed. We are looking to install a PIV card reader to replace the old system.
10. Protected Egress Points? (Estimated number of protected doors, elevator lobbies, elevator cars) 6 elevator cars, 6 lobbies
11. Total Estimated Square Footage of the areas covered under this requirement NNMC 186,000 sq ft
12. Wi-Fi Manufacturer currently in use at Northern Navajo Medical Center (for wireless compatibility assessment) Frontier/Version
13. Is there a possibility of a walk through?
- Site Visit will be on May 20, 2025 at 10:00 am MDT (1000 MDT) at Shiprock, New Mexico – Northern Navajo Medical Center. Meeting place at the atrium staircase area where you will be escorted to Security for check-in purposes.
14. Solicitation response date is being changed to May 27, 2025 at 12:00 pm MDT (1200 MDT).
