4 Flex Hose Assemblies, Renew Base on prior experience we know that many of the hoses tables are listed in the table s are constructed using re‐usable fittings. If the contractor assumes the risk for total replacement, will the CG allow for re‐use of ( in good condition ) clearly re‐usable fittings particularly in the case of long lead availability?

IAW with TS‐505‐2 Hoses and Expansion Joints, section 3.1.5.1 government shall considered fittings a one time use, and shall not reuse existing hose fittings. Government request all fittings renewed, and in circumstances where long lead fittings are not attainable in the period of performance, requests a CFR with recommendation to determine best course of actions to proceed.

5 Tank Sounding Tube, Replace 1. Do the piping lengths provided in Table 1 represent the entire lengths of piping to be replaced per tank? Or, do they represent tank depths only? 2.

Is the transition flange above tank ( i/e., the flange closest to the transmitter ) required to be replaced too?

Lengths provided in the specification for Table 1 are the approx. lengths based on drawings for the lengths of the sounding tube, and not the depth of the tank. The transition flange as shown in the bottom of figure 1 and in the drawings are on the outside of the tank and specified to be renewed with the rest of the sounding tube to CUNI 90/10.

6 Tank Sounding Tube, Replace Para. 3.1.2 requires the tech rep to be on‐sitr for the disassembly, inspection, repair , modification, calibration and reassembly of the equipment. That said, does the CG expect the Tech Rep to be on‐site throughout the entire performance period of the work item?

Government will not require the tech to be onsite for disassembly with the substitution of properly documented functional test and CFR from section 3.3 . Tech will be onsite to verify and ensure compliance with all inspection, repair, modification, calibration, and reassembly of the equipment/system.

7 Sewage Piping, Clean and Flush

1. Para. 3.1.4 instructs the contractor to handle " known interferences".

Para. 3.4 instruscts the contractos to include " for bid purposes" various pipe sections and fittings but does not include interferences. Is it the CG interntion for the contractor to include a ROM number for interferences or, will the CG issue a CR to cover the contractor for the actual interferences encountered? 2. Para. 3.4 lists pipe and fittings that should be included in the bid but does not provide a pipe size. Please provide missing info.

Assuming your referencing WI 10. Sewage System Piping , Repair ‐ Optional ‐Contractor is to proceed IAW with Std. Spec. 0000 and section 3.1.4. Any interferences outside of these two references are to be handled by a CFR with a possible CR for increased costs to government.

‐Pipe size for bidding purposes is 2"

8 Sewage Piping, Clean and Flush 3. Para. 3.4 includes " labor and material to install". Does the reference to "material" include all other materials not previously covered or it is intended to cover consumables only, e/g., rod, gas, etc.?

Assuming your referencing WI 10. Sewage System Piping , Repair ‐ Optional ‐ Activation of work item shall include all materials needed to conduct the repair utilizing the reference parts and fittings; to include consumable materials

9 Temporary Service: provide 1. Para. 3.6 instructs the contractor to provide climate contral for compartments in table 4. There is no table 4. Please advice. 2. Will pier risers be made available for disposal of CHT for portable sanitation units and any other items requiring disposal of CHT?

‐Table four contains 1‐36‐1‐Q Local Area Network Room. Contractor needs to maintain climate control for onboard servers to maintain onboard computer network. ‐ Pier riser may be available for pier sewage disposal and initial draining of CHT tank for opening and cleaning. Pier shortie are not intended for standalone porta potty that contain special sanitation and solution not designed for sewage shore ties; these units are required to have offsite disposal. Allow use of sewage shore tie shall be subject COR approval for safety and proper transfer and sanitation practices.

10 Tank Vacuum Collection Holding Tank 1. The work item identifies the tank listed in table 1. There is no table 1.

Please advice.

WI:12 Sewage Holding Tank (s), Clean and Inspect contains a table 1 with 3‐37‐2‐W. COR needs further clarification on answer the question.
