About this file

This is a guidance document from the University of Texas at Austin detailing instructions for completing a Hazard Mitigation Plan (HSP). The document serves as an instructional guide for vendors and stakeholders responding to the FC1 Elevator Modernization project, which involves selective alterations to two hydraulic elevators serving the FC1 office building. The guide provides step-by-step instructions for applicants to prepare comprehensive proposals that address the modernization requirements while maximizing reliability, extending equipment lifespan, and incorporating energy-efficient design principles.

The HSP guide outlines the procedural framework and documentation standards required for submission, including formatting requirements, content specifications, and technical considerations relevant to the elevator modernization scope of work. The document establishes baseline expectations for how vendors should structure their responses to ensure compliance with University requirements and facilitate evaluation of proposals. The guide emphasizes the importance of detailed planning and risk mitigation strategies as integral components of the modernization project, supporting the University's objectives for system optimization and operational efficiency.
