Document Summary

This is an HVAC design and construction document prepared by Evan Lloyd Associates, Inc. for a project located at the Stratton Building, 401 S. Spring Street, Springfield, Illinois. The project is sponsored by the State of Illinois for the installation of new air handling units in the LPU Print Shop North End. The document is dated August 7, 2025, with project number 25-049 and an expiration date of November 30, 2026.

The scope of work includes the installation of two new air handling units (AHU-1 and AHU-2), each rated at 800 CFM, and one heat pump unit rated at 48,000 BTUH cooling capacity. The HVAC contractor is responsible for providing shop drawings, installing all equipment per manufacturer specifications and the 2018 International Mechanical Code, furnishing a one-year guarantee covering labor and materials from the date of substantial completion, and providing operation and maintenance manuals. All condensate piping must be Schedule 40 PVC with solvent-welded connections. The contractor must provide a minimum of three sets of shop drawings and is required to perform all work as indicated on the drawings with any field changes made at no additional cost. Work encompasses new suction and liquid refrigerant lines, condensate drain lines pitched to existing floor drains, electrical connections at 208 volts, and thermostat controls with specific wiring configurations.
