About this file
This document is an Amendment of Solicitation for a U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) contract opportunity at Base Kodiak in Alaska, specifically addressing the procurement and installation of vehicle lifts. The solicitation (Number 51291PR250000089) involves acquiring three lifts: a four-post drive-on lift with ~25,000 lb capacity and a 297" wheelbase, and two two-post lifts to be temporarily installed in the N94 VAS building. The USCG will provide electrical power (1 ph, 230V) and compressed air for the lifts, and has confirmed floor specifications in the N94 VAS and N1 buildings are suitable for installation. The amendment, dated 08/25/2025, provides clarification on installation requirements, with the contractor responsible for initial installation in N94, and the USCG will complete any necessary electrical modifications prior to the contractor's arrival. The solicitation includes a questions and responses section that addresses specific technical details about lift specifications, installation, and site conditions.

Question or Comment Number Question/Comment USCG Response
Under Statement of Work b.(01) four-post drive on lift with ~25,000 lb capacity and 300" wheelbase. We offer runaway length options of 297" or 333". Please advise on preference. The 297" is preferred.
Install the above equipment following arrival on site. The two-post lifts will be temporary installed in N94 VAS building. Is the contractor requried to install then remove and reinstall the temporary 2-post lifts, or will this be the responsibility of the USCG? The requireent in the SOW just encompasses initial install in N94.
3 Will the USCG provide electrical to the 3-lifts? Yes.
Will the USCG provide compressed air to the 4-post lift to operate the safety locks? Yes.
5 Can you please confirm the floor and electrical for this requirement?
The floor in N94 VAS building is 8" and the floor in N1 is at least 10". Both buildings are already set up with 1 ph, 230V power used previously for Mohawk LMF-12 two-post lifts.
The USCG will complete any necessary electrical modifications prior to the successful offeror arriving on site. If the contractor encounters different conditions than those provided, work should stop to discuss potential differing site conditions.
