About this file
This is a Request for Proposal (RFP) issued by Indianapolis Public Schools (IPS) for High Bandwidth Metropolitan Area Network (MAN) Services. The RFP seeks qualified telecommunications providers to deliver e-rate funded network services designed to connect IPS facilities with high-capacity bandwidth connectivity. The project encompasses the provision of managed MAN services supporting the district's technology infrastructure needs. Interested vendors were required to submit proposals by the specified deadline, with evaluation and award processes following IPS's procurement procedures. The contract term and any renewal options are contingent upon vendor selection and contract negotiations following proposal evaluation.
This e-rate funded initiative requires vendors to demonstrate experience delivering high-bandwidth telecommunications services to educational institutions. Pricing proposals must be submitted as part of the RFP response, with costs evaluated against technical capabilities and service quality metrics. The funding source is the E-Rate program (Schools and Libraries Universal Service Support Program), which provides federal discounts for telecommunications services to eligible schools and libraries. IPS will evaluate proposals based on technical merit, pricing competitiveness, vendor qualifications, and ability to meet the district's bandwidth requirements and service levels.
