C.40.4 Miscellaneous Work

The Contractor shall provide 2 hours and up to $200 (per location) for parts and supplies.

Do any hours carryover month to month if not used?

It looks like a portion of this paragraph was left out of the spec. The language should read as follows:

The Contractor shall provide 2 hours and up to $200 (per location) for parts and supplies (hours and dollar amounts are not cumulative to succeeding months) when requested by the CO or designee, to accomplish discretionary work in the buildings covered by this Contract.

Kinneary:

• The equipment list does not provide the details regarding the sprinkler system, it mentions there are 550 sprinkler heads, but I would need to know how many risers and the type of sprinkler system(s) (wet or dry?). There was also mention of a pre-action system. Again, I would need to know how many systems are on site;

3 risers for the sprinkler system. West, east and garage. 2 are wet and 1 is dry

• Does this building have a fire pump? If so, please confirm if there is more than one pump;

no fire pump, and we have a wet system and dry system, which the dry system in located in the upper parking garage

Bricker Federal Building:

• The equipment list indicates there are 45 CO2 sensors. Are these CO2 detectors that are connected to the fire alarm panel or are these units battery operated (not connected to panel) and are being manually tested.

CO2 detectors are connected to the BAS.

• Sprinkler system: the list mentions a dry system and a deluge system. Would need confirmation on how many risers/systems are on site There is 1 riser/system on site.

• Standpipe: would need to know how many standpipes. Usually each floor will have a standpipe.

There are 4 standpipes, 2 in the building and 2 in the garage. They go through each floor.

• Extinguishers: would need confirmation on the number of extinguishers. There was some confusion with regards to the stored pressure units, lines 650, 653 and 656 of the spreadsheet indicates there is 80 extinguishers but the description looks the same, so I am wondering if there are actually 80 or 240 EX. I also saw that there was 11 dry chemical EX.

there are 64 in the building.
