About this file
This is a Contractor Compliance with Workers Compensation Law document related to the PW Exposition Way Slope Stabilization Project (City Project No. 105816) in Texas. The document establishes compliance requirements for contractors working on this public works project, which involves approximately 992 square yards of slope stabilization, 1,363 linear feet of 6-inch pipe subdrain (Type 8), 8,550 square yards of 7-inch concrete pavement removal and replacement, 135 linear feet of stacked stone wall grout repair, and 30 linear feet of stacked masonry stone wall removal and replacement (4 to 8 feet in height). All contractors and subcontractors must comply with Texas workers compensation law requirements as a condition of contract performance and payment.
The compliance document mandates that contractors maintain current workers compensation insurance coverage as required by state law, provide proof of coverage upon request, and ensure all employees are covered under the appropriate workers compensation insurance policy. Contractors must also verify that subcontractors maintain valid workers compensation coverage and are responsible for monitoring ongoing compliance throughout the project duration. Failure to maintain required workers compensation coverage may result in contract termination, withholding of payment, and potential legal penalties.
