About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document for solicitation 36C25525Q0149 for pest control services at VA facilities. The document addresses two questions regarding services at the Evansville Health Care Center and Owensboro Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOCs).

The Q&A clarifies that bed bug treatment services at these locations are provided on an "as needed, on call basis" and are typically contained to a single room. No site visits are required for these smaller clinics. When called, technicians will be directed to the treatment area, perform the service, and provide post-treatment instructions. The services are described as similar to bed bug treatments performed at the Marion VA Medical Center, with pricing detailed in Line Items 0004, 0005 and subsequent items in the Price/Cost Schedule.

Questions and Answers - 36C25525Q0149

1. Could you provide more details about the Evansville Health Care Center and Owensboro Community Based

Outpatient Clinic? Specifically, what services are considered "as needed"? → The “As Needed” services are listed in B.3 PRICE/COST SCHEDULE - Line Item 0004, 0005, and so on. What do you want to know about the Evansville and Owensboro Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC’s)?

2. We noticed that site visit information for the Evansville and Owensboro locations is not included. Will additional details or arrangements for site visits to these locations be provided? There is no need for a site visit to Evansville Ind or Owensboro KY. They are smaller clinics, and the need is for bed bug treatment, normally contained to a room. This is “as needed”, “on call basis”. The tech will show up, they will let the tech nowhere to go for treatment. Tech does treatment, leaves instructions such as wait so many hours to clean, and call/visit over. Really no different than a bed bug calls for Marion.
