The above cited solicitation is hereby amended as shown below:
The Purpose of this amendment is to publish revised answers to the questions that were published in amendment 4.
The closing date of this solicitation has not changed, 27 AUG 2019 at 1:00 PM CDT.

M2 Federal, Inc. is hereby submitting the following RFI’s.
The following questions are in relation to procedures outline in the specifications.
1. Please identify where space is available for onsite material and a refuse container?
Answer: Space is limited. The laydown area for materials will be in the gravel lot to the far south of the VA. The refuse container will be located at a site near the building northern area and to be coordinated with the Contracting Officer Representative.
2. Can the tenant provide a toolbox storage/project staging area within the building?
Answer: No.
3. Can we work 4 days a week at 10 hours a day instead of 5 days a week at 8 hours a day?
Answer: Yes.
4. Does the project include replacing the Backup Generator ATS?
Answer: No, the existing ATS is to be re-used.
5. On what date where the shunt trips last tested? If unknown, should testing reveal they are no longer functioning properly is their replacement to be included in the bid or a change order item?
Answer: See Attached Documents. This project scope provides new elevator disconnect switches with new shunt trip units.
6. Is the backup generator and conductor wire capable of supplying power for all cars to run at the same time?
Answer: Yes, separate testing per elevator will be completed by the third part Qualified Elevator Inspector (QEI)
7. Who currently services your fire control system? When was the last was reported test and were there any faults?
Answer: Siemens. No faults with Elevators. Additional tests are available, but the VA would need to know exactly what tests you are looking for.
8. When was the last time the smoke/heat detectors were last tested that are integrated with the elevator control system?
Answer: November 19th, 2018 (annual test). They all passed.
9. Are there any smoke/heat detectors that are non-functioning, and if so, please identify which ones?
Answer: None.
10. Please confirm the “Buy American Act” applies to this project?
Answer: Yes
11. Is the VA requiring Video Surveillance in each elevator with audio?
Answer: Yes for video, audio is in call phone in the elevator
12. Is the VA requiring card readers in each elevator?
Answer: Yes. As well as on the outside of each floor at each elevator. There will be an audio message that comes across. Telling riders to get off due to medical emergency.
13. Can the VA provide photo documentation for each elevator pit?
Answer: All photos available are in attachment.
14. Can the VA provide photo documentation of each elevator car top?
Answer: All photos available are in attachment.
15. Can the VA provide photo documentation of each elevator hoistway?
Answer: All photos available are in attachment.
16. Who currently services your fire control system?
Answer: See Specifications 28 31 00 Siemens fire alarm system.
17. Does the VA have the contact information for the existing Fire Alarm Maintenance Contractor?
Answer: Siemens 314-817-1100
18. Does the VA have the contact information for the existing emergency generator / ATS maintenance contractor?
Answer: CK Power 314-868-8620
