About this file
This document is a Standard Form 30 Amendment of Solicitation/Modification of Contract for a Surgical Boom System solicitation issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office. The amendment, dated 06-17-2025, provides responses to three vendor questions related to the surgical equipment requirements for VA Medical Center locations, specifically addressing video routing processes, equipment boom capabilities, and ceiling-mounted equipment configurations.
The key technical questions addressed include: (1) confirming end users' ability to toggle room displays from a centralized integration touch panel, (2) verifying the equipment boom's powered floor-to-ceiling motion capability with a 275 lb load capacity, and (3) discussing flexible mounting options for ceiling-mounted equipment booms. The solicitation number is 36C25025Q0466, with the original solicitation date of 05-19-2025, and involves surgical room infrastructure and integration equipment for VA medical facilities. The amendment was issued by Contracting Officer Jeffrey P. Rozema from the Battle Creek VA Medical Center in Michigan.

X X X The purpose of this amendment is to provide responses to recent vendor questions. See Page 2 for list of questions and responses.
Jeffrey P. Rozema Contracting Officer Question 1: To streamline the video routing process and mitigate foot traffic, would the end users supporting D129, D112, and D109 require the ability to toggle on/off the room displays from the centralized integration touch panel?
Answer 1: Yes, centralized integration was requested for this function.
Question 2: Please confirm whether the equipment boom shall be powered for floor-to-ceiling motion supporting a load of up to 275 lbs ensuring flexible parking locations both during cases, and when not in use.
Answer 2: Yes, this provides ultimate flexibility with the boom and room layout.
Question 3: Please confirm the ceiling mounted equipment boom will need to be mounted in combination with a surgical display suspension to minimize the footprint of ceiling mounted structures.
Answer 3: We don’t believe we called it out; the intention is for ultimate flexibility that we believe would lend itself to more than a single mounting.
