About this file
This scope of work document outlines requirements for inspection, testing and maintenance services for the electrical power distribution system at the Department of Veterans Affairs LTC Charles S. Kettles VA Medical Center in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Contractors must be certified and experienced in electrical contracting work, with technicians holding relevant safety certifications. Services include cleaning, inspecting and testing transformers and other electrical equipment; exercising and calibrating circuit breakers; identifying hot spots; and submitting written reports on completion. The contractor must also participate in a scheduled 4-hour power outage test and provide electrical safety training for facility staff. Responses were due by September 9, 2021 and the document establishes qualifications for contractors and details the required services to maintain and ensure proper operation of the medical center's electrical distribution system.
