About this file

This is Amendment 1 to Solicitation 36C24426Q0472 issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office 4 at Wilkes-Barre VA Medical Center. The amendment, effective April 20, 2026, provides clarifications through a question and answer section and corrects a typographical error in Attachment A regarding AHU filters and belts.

The Q&A clarifications address six key points: (1) substitutions or alternates are acceptable only if they meet or exceed the required specifications; (2) MERV 11 pleated filters are acceptable in lieu of MERV 9 filters since they exceed requirements; (3) all items on the contract must be bid on—no partial bids are permitted; (4) Appendix J testing is a mandatory requirement for pleated filters; (5) filters are 6 inches deep and must be able to slide into a 1-inch filter rack track, clarifying that the "1 inch" specification refers to the track opening, not filter depth; and (6) the pre-filters specified are 4-ply antimicrobial treated units, correcting the original document's erroneous reference to 3-ply. All other terms and conditions of the solicitation remain unchanged. Offerors must acknowledge receipt of this amendment prior to the deadline specified in the original solicitation.
