About this file
This specification covers cleaning and flushing requirements for an HVAC water treatment project at the Samuel S. Stratton VA Medical Center in Albany, New York. An existing water treatment supplier agreement is in place, so the contractor is responsible only for cleaning and flushing of new piping systems. Reconnecting existing water treatment equipment to the new piping is also included in the contractor's scope of work. The contractor must coordinate final chemical treatment with the existing supplier, Barclay Water Management, once cleaning is complete.
The related federal contract opportunity is for project number 36C24221B0018 to replace cooling towers 1 and 2 at the same Samuel S. Stratton VAMC. The contractor will be selected by the Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration VISN 2.
