About this file
This document is a Three Party Design Contract Special Provisions document involving a municipality, a department (likely Wisconsin Department of Transportation), and a consultant for a transportation infrastructure project along W Veterans Way (CTH NN). The project encompasses roadway improvements at two intersections: W Veterans Way and CTH EE, and W Veterans Way and Fairwinds Blvd. The contract requires the consultant to perform comprehensive design services including traffic studies, environmental documentation, surveys, geotechnical investigations, road plans, right-of-way plats, and public involvement activities. Key deliverables include traffic counts, collision analyses, traffic reports, environmental documents, design surveys, and preliminary and final road plans. The project timeline spans from January 2026 to Summer 2028, with multiple milestone dates for various report and plan submissions, culminating in a planned construction start in Summer 2028.
The contract includes detailed insurance requirements for the consultant, mandating multiple types of coverage including workers' compensation, commercial general liability, automobile liability, and professional liability, with specific minimum coverage amounts. The municipality will provide certain services such as existing plan copies, traffic signal timing information, and initial site reconnaissance for hazardous materials. The consultant is required to coordinate with various agencies including the Village of Mukwonago, Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, Federal Aviation Administration, US Fish and Wildlife Service, and Native American Tribes. The project involves approximately three parcels for right-of-way acquisition and includes technical specifications for survey, soil investigations, and design documentation consistent with Wisconsin Department of Transportation standards.
