About this file
This document is Addendum #3 to the Town of Wolcott's Request for Proposals for Road Resurfacing (Solicitation 26-10), issued by the Town of Wolcott, Connecticut. The addendum addresses clarifications regarding the handling and disposition of asphalt millings generated during road resurfacing operations on up to 5 miles of town roadways. The work includes labor, equipment, and materials for road resurfacing and must be performed in accordance with Connecticut prevailing wage rate statutes. Questions were submitted through May 19, 2026, and responses are provided in the addendum to clarify contractor and town responsibilities.
The primary clarification concerns the responsibility for milling management. The Town of Wolcott will accept the asphalt millings generated from the resurfacing work and will provide transportation of the millings from each road site; the contractor is not responsible for trucking or carting the millings away. This represents a cost allocation decision favorable to bidders, as the town assumes responsibility for mill waste disposal logistics rather than placing this burden on the contractor.
