Contractors must demonstrate substantial experience with similar projects and maintain established operations within 100 miles of the site. The document mandates compliance with manufacturer specifications, third-party field inspections, comprehensive testing and commissioning procedures, detailed operation and maintenance manuals, and a 20-year weathertightness warranty for metal roof panel assemblies. Site-specific services including project management, temporary facilities, waste management, protection of finished surfaces, and closeout procedures are contractor responsibilities. All materials must be new and undamaged, with extensive documentation required for submittals, including shop drawings, product data, samples, welding certificates, material test reports, and design certifications signed by qualified professional engineers.

1.1 SUMMARY
A. Section includes administrative and procedural requirements for alternates.
1.2 DEFINITIONS
A. Alternate: An amount proposed by bidders and stated on the Bid Form for certain work defined in the Bidding Requirements that may be deducted from the base bid amount if Owner decides to accept a corresponding change either in the amount of construction to be completed or in the products, materials, equipment, systems, or installation methods described in the Contract Documents.
