About this file
This solicitation seeks inventory management and warehouse services to support the Department of State's Passport Services Directorate. The contractor will maintain a Critical Supply and Inventory Management Facility and the existing Electronic Ordering System to monitor and track critical supplies for 29 passport facilities nationwide. Key responsibilities include warehouse operations, storage, shipping, delivery, tracking, inventory management, and vendor relations for over 140 critical supply items. The contractor must staff the facility sufficient to fill orders and provide customer service Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm EST. The facility is required to be within 30 miles of the National Passport Center in Portsmouth, New Hampshire and include at least a 5,000 square foot warehouse with a loading dock and equipment such as forklifts. As a performance-based contract, the contractor determines necessary staffing levels. Historically the effort has been supported by four contractors with a site manager serving as key personnel. The contract aims to provide the best value solution and will consider technical approach, past performance, and price in selecting the awardee.
