About this file

This is a Request for Quote (RFQ) issued by the Illinois Department of Insurance, led by Director Ann Gillespie under Governor JB Pritzker's administration. The RFQ invites vendors to submit pricing quotes for the procurement of metal microfilm cabinets. Quotes must be submitted by July 20, 2026, no later than 3:00 PM Central Standard Time, either through the BidBuy system or via email to DOI.Procurement@illinois.gov. The department has offices in Springfield and Chicago, Illinois.

The procurement requires four metal microfilm cabinets, each featuring eight 6-inch tall drawers with dimensions of 51 5/8 inches in height, 30 inches wide, and 18 inches in depth. The cabinets must include removable dividers, heavy-duty steel construction, powder-coated finish, smooth-glide drawer slides, label holders on each drawer, dust-resistant enclosed design, reinforced drawer construction, and archival-grade storage capabilities suitable for standard microfilm rolls and cartridges. All quoted prices must be valid for 90 days from submission and include shipping and handling charges. The product must be new, in the United States at the time the order is placed, and delivered within three weeks of order placement. Sub-bidding is not permitted. Vendors must not include taxes unless accompanied by proof of state tax liability, and incomplete submissions or those received after the deadline may be disqualified.
