Bidders must provide proof of certification by the State of Alabama Board of Heating, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Contractors and submit evidence of minimum liability coverage of $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate, with the State of Alabama listed as certificate holder. The State of Alabama pays invoices 30 days in arrears. Price escalations may be considered if material or labor costs significantly increase through no fault of the supplier, with increases limited to industry-specific price index or CPI increases and requiring written approval from both parties. Any de-escalations in price must be passed immediately to the state. Using entities will be required to obtain quotes prior to placing orders, and contract suppliers may offer deeper discounts or volume discounts for larger purchases.
