About this file

This document is a bid form for the City of Aurora's 2025 Transmission Mains Rehabilitation Program, Project No. 520757. The project involves transmission main rehabilitation work at two specific sites: Airport Boulevard and E. Alameda Avenue. The bid includes several key tasks such as installation of insertion valves, line stops, gate valves, traffic control, and associated excavation and restoration work. The bid requires two mobilizations to complete work at both sites, with an intermediate completion date of 10/17/2025 and preparation for a Xylem inspection on 10/20/2025. Bidders are required to provide unit pricing for specific line items and must acknowledge various bidding conditions, site investigations, and compliance with local regulations.

The bid form includes an allowance of $25,000 for standby during Xylem's inspection and a $300,000 allowance for minor contract revisions. The total bid amount will be calculated based on the unit prices for each specified task, including mobilization, valve installations, traffic control, and site-specific work. Bidders must submit evidence of workers' compensation experience rating and are required to provide detailed information about their business structure (individual, partnership, corporation, or joint venture). The bid will remain subject to acceptance for 60 days after the bid opening, and bidders must comply with various representations regarding bid genuineness, lack of collusion, and legal business authorization.
