About this file
The document is a comprehensive technical specification for the Southeast Drainage Retrofit Project for the City of Dania Beach, Florida, specifically focusing on drainage improvements in the southeastern part of the city. The project involves constructing drainage improvements including a conveyance drainage system consisting of pipes, inlets, exfiltration trenches, a new stormwater pump station, injection wells, injection well piping, milling and resurfacing, swale regrading, and pavement markings. The project area is bounded by SE 2nd Avenue to the west, SE 5th Avenue to the east, a portion of SE 4th Street to the north, and SE 7th Street to the south, located at 110 N. Beach Road. The specifications provide detailed technical requirements for materials, installation methods, testing, and quality control across multiple divisions including concrete, electrical, earthwork, utilities, and site improvements.
The project will be competitively bid with contractors required to possess appropriate licensing and comply with Broward County and City of Dania Beach ordinances. The technical specifications indicate a preference for Flygt pumps and controls, with a potential for approved equal substitutions after contract award. The contractor will be responsible for comprehensive site work including utility coordination, environmental protection, dust control, and restoration. The project includes specific requirements for submittals, testing, quality assurance, and documentation, with a focus on maintaining existing services, protecting adjacent properties, and ensuring minimal disruption to public infrastructure. The contract will likely be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder who can demonstrate technical capability and compliance with the extensive technical requirements outlined in the document.
