About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document for RFQ# 19CA7025Q0005 issued by the Consulate General of the United States of America in Toronto, Ontario. The document addresses contractor inquiries regarding electrical work involving Romex cable replacement and panel work. Key specifications include: cafeteria 8/3 Romex (50 ft.), basement panel 8/3 Romex to ductless (175 ft.), and basement cafeteria 8/3 Romex panel to stove (60 ft.). No existing coordination study is available. Work is authorized Saturday and Sunday, 7am to 7pm both days. Receptacle labels must use "Brother" type labeling with black lettering on white, durable vinyl. Contractors may splice feeder wires using large junction boxes where necessary or pull new wire when possible. Contractors should remove and dispose of lighting control equipment or panels located in two areas and make every effort to locate and document abandoned circuits above ceiling tiles, such as 1110 boxes with receptacles from previous generations.

Additional allowances include contractor authorization to remove doors to gain workspace, provided they are reinstalled to match or improve their original appearance. Panel photographs, including views of breakers, panels with covers removed, and panel schedules, are provided in a separate attachment. The document confirms that necessary drawings and related information will be supplied during the pre-proposal site visit, with photographs serving as the primary reference material for the project scope.
