Questions and Answer 2
Contractor Question 1: When was the system originally installed or the average age of the equipment?
Government Response 1: The system was originally installed in 2010.
Contractor Question 2: Should the proposal include full comprehensive coverage or just PM time with parts and labor coverage to fix minor issues?
Government Response 2: Proposals are required to include full comprehensive coverage as noted in the SOW.
Contractor Question 3: Who is the camera manufacturer?
Government Response 3: See the revised Statement of Work (3.0) for a listing of the camera manufacturers.
Contractor Question 4: Are any of the cameras mounted higher than 12ft? Do we need a lift or any special equipment to reach them?
Government Response 4: Yes, there are cameras mounted higher than 12ft and a lift or other special equipment is required to reach them.
Contractor Question 5: Are software upgrades to be included in the contract? If so, is the equipment currently up to date and when are the software agreements set to expire?
Government Response 5: Yes, software upgrades are required to be included in the price of the proposal. Yes, the equipment is up to date. Unfortunately, the program office does not know when the software agreements are set to expire.
Contractor Question 6: Per section 3.0 Burglar alarm and intrusion detection system, there’s a mention of 24/7 monitoring; Are we responsible for the monitoring of the alarm system and responding to alerts?
Government Response 6: Yes, contractors are required to monitoring the alarm system and respond to alerts.

Contractor Question 7: Per section 3.2.8 “If repair is necessary, it will occur within 3 business days of the reported incident. If replacement is necessary, the replacement will occur within 7 calendar days of the reported incident. We want to confirm that this is a reasonable time. The reason, if we need to replace an AMAG board with a 2-week lead time we will not be expected to complete the repair within 7 days.
Government Response 7: The program office says that in these types of cases they request that the contractor communicate these facts and they will use common sense.
Contractor Question 8: I know it was mentioned in the previous RFI that the reference to section 16 was omitted from the SOW but there are several mentions of the “number of hours specified”. Are there a maximum number of hours you can provide?
Government Response 8: Unfortunately, ICE cannot provide a maximum number of hours, it is unlimited.
