Snow Removal – Salem Residency
IFB # 159060
Minimum Guaranteed Payment Example 1:
Contractor’s bid rate for a truck is $200 per hour. Guaranteed minimum payment is $8,000. Truck worked 30 hours push and 5 hours standby during the season.
MGP minus Total Payments for Push and Standby Time Equals End of Season Lump Sum Payment
$8,000 – [(30*$200) + (5*$100)]
$8,000 – [$6,000 + $500]
$8,000 - $6,500 = $1,500
Contractor was paid $6,500 during the season. Contractor will receive $1,500 End of Season Lump Sum Payment.
Minimum Guaranteed Payment Example 2:
Contractor’s bid rate for a truck is $150 per hour. Guaranteed minimum payment is $6,000. Truck worked 45 hours push and 8 hours standby during the season.
MGP minus Total Payments for Push and Standby Time Equals End of Season Lump Sum Payment
$6,000 – [(45*$150) + (8*$75)]
$6,000 – [$6,750 + $600]
$6,000 - $7,350 = less than $0
Contractor was paid $7,350 during the season. This is greater than the MGP of $6,000. The Contractor has earned more than the MGP offered. No additional payment is due to the contractor.
