Appendix A - Technical Specifications Summary
This technical specifications document supports a cooling tower fan assembly replacement project for the State of Florida. The solicitation requires the removal and disposal of ten existing FRP (Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic) fan hub assemblies from a Marley F499A-4.0-10B cooling tower located at Brandy Branch Generating Station, followed by installation of ten new fan hub assemblies complete with blades, hub plates, blade clamps, hardware, and fan seal discs. The contractor must provide all necessary labor, materials, equipment, and supervision while protecting the cooling tower structure throughout removal and installation activities. A mandatory pre-response meeting is scheduled for August 31, 2026 at 10:00 AM, with responses due by September 22, 2026.
The technical specifications establish the detailed requirements and performance standards for the fan hub assemblies, replacement components, and installation procedures to ensure compatibility with the existing Marley cooling tower system and compliance with operational specifications. These specifications define material grades, dimensional tolerances, quality standards, and testing requirements necessary for the replacement components to function safely and effectively within the cooling tower's operating parameters. The specifications serve as the binding technical framework that bidders must meet to be considered responsive to the solicitation.
